Our Christian walk with the Lord is not very simple to explain because it cannot be distilled down to a simple phrase. Self-deception and deceivers have made our lives very complicated and to put things in very simple terms often leads to unscrupulous individuals complicating things. It would be nice to simply say “we are called to walk in love”, but because some loose individual will try to “love” every sister in the church, it is necessary to enlarge and clarify by adding we are to walk in truth and the Commandments.
Ephesians5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
2 John1:4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. 1:5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
