When starting out a new lifestyle change it is important to consider making a major transformation instead of minor changes. Consider well the broad implications of one lifestyle change, and how that change affect other parts of your life and be willing to make all changes needed in order to have success at accomplishing the stated objective. A simply but real example of this would be trying to start an exercise program without considering the various changes in diet, sleeping, drinking, eating, and working patterns. For true success it is better to have an entire change, than to make minor adjustments. Without adjusting any of the above examples, you will simple break your commitment to exercising consistently.
Luke 5:36 And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.
5:37 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. 5:38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
