Today as in the days of Elijah the conflict between those who serve God and those who serve false gods is happening. The current polarization of the society and church is happening and is developing two groups that are growing further apart from each other. This reality can be seen most clearly in churches across the land, in that in worship and practice the majority is aligning themselves to reflect pagan worship and practices. To the majority the question Elijah asked is still very relevant, “How long halt ye between two opinions?” This current reality will end in religious intolerance in America and the world over.
1 Kings18:19 Now therefore send, [and] gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Jezebel's table.
18:20 So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel.
18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD [be] God, follow him: but if Baal, [then] follow him. And the people answered him not a word.
In what ways do you see the churches mirroring heathen practices?
