A clear summary of religious intolerance is here given in our devotional text for today. These painful experiences have happened in various times in history the world over. The Bible predicts a time in our near future when this reality will bear sway and we believe the account in Hebrews will be the case because of the trustworthiness of Biblical predictions, and because human nature has not changed.
Hebrews11:36 And others had trial of [cruel] mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
11:37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
